We are very excited, this academic year, to be bringing you 6 NEW training courses to support the development of knowledge and teaching practice within Physical Education in your school.
We have tailored the courses to meet the varying needs of primary class teachers, coaches or support staff who deliver PE lessons. Please click on the flyer to the right of the page for more details about the courses.
The courses are all held at Paxton primary school, Gipsy Hill and are delivered over 3 hours.

This course is aimed at primary school teachers unclear on what to teach and how to teach it. The course will be part theory and part practical. It will provide attendees with a range of practical warm up and generic activities which can be applied to lots of the curriculum. Specific areas of the curriculum will be looked at whilst exploring pupil progress and differentiation.
This course is targeting teachers and support staff who teach Dance and Gymnastics in a primary school setting. The course will be split into two x 90 minute sessions and will be mostly practical based. It will give staff a good insight into how to teach these areas of the curriculum. This course is targeting teachers with low knowledge or experience delivering these activities.
We believe that a childʼs early experiences of PE are vitally important and that starts in early years and continues into key stage 1. This course explores how to teach a creative curriculum to EYFS and KS1 children and looks at the progression from reception to year 2.This course is mostly practical and will also explore the use of dance and gymnastics at this stage.
As we get into the summer term, this course will prepare staff for the summer term activities. This course will be mostly practical and focus on covering the key content from key stage 2 primary curriculum tennis, cricket and athletics.
