All Moving Matters staff are Primary PE Specialists, working in local schools teaching Physical Education. They are leading industry professionals with a wide range of qualifications and experience delivering to primary aged children across the curriculum. All staff are DBS checked, first aid and child protection trained. Each camp has a Camp Director who is in charge of overseeing the administration, staffing and running of the day. Any issues can be discussed with the Camp Director at the beginning or end of the day. You can get to the know the team better by looking at our meet the team page

Do you have a behaviour management procedure?
Yes we do, at Moving Matters we believe in the importance of mutual respect between children and adults at camp, children are made aware of these expectations at the beginning of the camp day. We focus on positive reinforcement to manage challenging behaviour and we manage children's behaviour in the same way we would within the school environment. We reserve the right to exclude a child if consistently challenging behaviour is displayed at camp.

What will my child be doing at camp?
Each day camp is started with a whole camp warm up, following the warm up children are put into age-specific groups for the first sport or football activity of the day.
Each day includes two sporting activities at Play Create Move, with a skills school to develop skills and tournament time to test in competitive games.

At our SLD camp we have a different daily schedule, working on developing skills in opposed and unopposed situations, daily tournaments and competitions.

We have two breaks during the day, mid-morning for 15 minutes and lunchtime for 30 minutes, subject to the weather and age of group we also incorporate an afternoon's break.
During breaks children can have a refreshment and take part in any of our break time activities;

  • cards
  • table-tennis
  • board games
  • Jenga
  • Speed stacking cups, and much more
  • colouring

Our camps now involve GET CREATIVE sessions; with creative and art based activities co-ordinated by the coaches.
The day ends with a medal ceremony at 3.25.

What to bring on the day:

  • Wear comfortable trainers
  • Sports appropriate clothing
  • A warm top and a waterproof Jacket is also recommended depending on the weather
  • Packed Lunch and water/fluids

My child is 4 years old and capable can he/she stay the full day at camp?
